Worktop purchase terms
THE WORKTOP COLLECTION
These terms cover purchases of worktops, upstands, samples and accessories from this website by consumers. Itemised worktop fabrication and our site survey, templating and installation service are covered below. Other flooring and refurbishment work is quoted separately.

Products and specifications
Check the wood species, grade, length, width, thickness and quantity before submitting an order. Worktop dimensions are length × width × thickness; upstand dimensions are length × height × thickness. Goods prices are per piece in the selected size. Service prices use the unit shown, such as per cut, per joint or per linear metre. Natural timber varies in colour, grain and character; images illustrate the range and are not a photograph of the particular piece delivered.
The price for your selected products and delivery is shown at checkout. Products marked unavailable cannot be ordered online. Our catalogue is not a live connection to our supplier’s warehouse; if an availability error affects your order, we will contact you promptly. We will not substitute a different material or size without agreement. If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will contact you promptly and offer a refund or an alternative you expressly accept.
Orders and payment
You must be at least 18 to order. Select your products and quantities, enter your billing and delivery details, review the full total and these terms, and select Pay securely to pay through Stripe using an available payment method. For a digital wallet, select the wallet option and continue to the secure payment page. Klarna and Clearpay are subject to provider eligibility and approval. You do not need a separate payment-invitation email or manual approval before checkout.
A payment receipt acknowledges payment. Your purchase contract is formed when we send the order-acceptance confirmation. If we cannot accept or fulfil an order, we will contact you promptly and refund any payment for unavailable goods, or offer an alternative that you expressly accept. We do not substitute goods or increase the agreed total without your agreement.
All ordered goods and worktop services, including fabrication and our £750 installation service, are paid for in full online at checkout. No staged payments apply to these shop orders. Prices include VAT. Product and delivery prices include applicable VAT and the final total is displayed before payment. Delivery is charged separately. Fitting, bespoke cutting, oiling and other services are not included unless explicitly listed in your order or separately agreed quotation. The staged-payment schedule used for refurbishment services does not apply to these shop orders, including the worktop installation service.
Delivery and ownership
Our Worktop delivery guide sets out charges, estimated timings and access requirements. Enter your delivery postcode and choose the correct delivery area. The checkout calculates the delivery charge for the area you select. Standard delivery is to safely accessible ground-floor premises. Estimated timings are displayed before payment; we contact you afterwards to arrange the delivery date. Please contact us before ordering if access is restricted or the destination requires a special delivery service. Addresses and orders requiring an individual quote cannot proceed at an assumed or zero delivery price. We will agree any special delivery cost before payment.
Unless a different period is agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is made. If delivery is delayed, your statutory rights to set an appropriate further deadline or cancel, where applicable, remain intact. Risk passes when you or your nominated recipient takes physical possession; ownership passes once payment is received in full.
Cancellations and returns
Our Worktop returns policy explains consumer cancellation periods, return transport, refunds and bespoke-item exceptions. Standard goods normally carry a 14-day cancellation period from receipt. Faulty-goods rights are unaffected by a bespoke order or a sale price.
Site survey, templating and installation by our team
Our wooden-worktop service costs £750 including VAT, paid in full online at checkout. It is available only in Central London, South West London and Surrey. It includes two visits: measuring and templating, followed by fitting the prepared worktops and applying a final coat of oil. Worktops, cutting and other fabrication are separate. Dates and access are agreed with our team. This service is performed by Elite London Refurbishments, not the supplier. Suitable parking close to the property must be available for loading, unloading and machinery; necessary permits and parking, access or congestion charges are the customer’s responsibility. Waste collection, transport, removal and disposal are excluded and must be arranged and paid for by the customer. Cleaning the working area does not include removing waste from the property.
Fabrication instructions and cancellation of services
For cutting, edging, joints and openings, identify the worktop and provide the dimensions, profile and positions required. We or the fabrication partner will confirm the final instructions with you in writing before fabrication. Do not use approximate measurements as final cutting instructions. Cut sizes may vary within the tolerances disclosed on the service page.
Consumers normally have 14 days from entering a service contract to cancel. We do not start a service during that period without your express request. Where you ask for an early start and later cancel, a proportionate charge may be due for work already supplied. The cancellation right is lost after full performance only where you expressly requested the early start and acknowledged that consequence. We obtain that agreement separately when arranging the work. Your rights regarding faulty workmanship are unaffected.
Care and installation
Follow the care, storage and installation instructions supplied with the goods. Check measurements and inspect the worktop before cutting or installation. Damage caused by improper storage, installation or care is different from a fault present when supplied, and does not remove any rights you have in respect of an actual defect.
Responsibility and complaints
We remain responsible to you as the seller, including where we use a delivery or fulfilment partner. Nothing in these terms excludes statutory consumer rights, liability for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Contact our team with any complaint so that we can investigate and resolve it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland also retain applicable mandatory protections and access to their local courts. If purchasing mainly for your business, contact us before ordering so that suitable business purchase terms can be agreed.
We use your name, contact details, delivery address and order contents to manage your purchase. Where required to fulfil it, these details are shared with Top Worktops for fulfilment and delivery; card details are handled by the payment provider and are not sent to the supplier. Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy and used as needed to process payment, fulfil the order and arrange delivery.
