Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided under the trading name Elite London Refurbishments. Please read them carefully before accepting a quotation.

1. Company Information

Elite London Refurbishments is a trading name of Elitejobs Ltd, a company operating in England and Wales.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided under the trading name Elite London Refurbishments, including refurbishment, wooden flooring, kitchen renovation, bathroom renovation, painting and decorating, building works, property maintenance, rubbish removal and site clearance.

2. Services

We provide residential and commercial refurbishment and property services, including but not limited to:

·Wooden flooring installation, sanding and restoration
·Full home and property refurbishments
·Kitchen installation and renovation
·Bathroom installation and renovation
·Painting and decorating
·General building works
·Property maintenance
·Rubbish removal and site clearance

The exact scope of work will be agreed in writing before work begins.

3. Quotations and Estimates

Any quotation provided is based on the information available at the time, including photos, measurements, site visits, client instructions and visible site conditions.

A quotation is valid only for the period stated on the quotation. If no period is stated, the quotation is valid for 14 days.

Additional charges may apply if:

·the client requests extra work
·hidden damage or defects are discovered
·site conditions differ from what was originally shown or described
·materials, access, parking or disposal requirements change
·delays are caused by the client or third parties

No additional work will be carried out without client approval, unless urgent work is required for safety or to prevent damage.

4. Acceptance of Work

Work will only be booked once the client confirms acceptance of the quote in writing, by email, message or signed agreement.

By accepting a quotation, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

5. Deposits and Payments

A deposit may be required before work begins. The deposit secures the booking, labour time, materials and project preparation.

Payment terms will be confirmed in writing before the start of the project.

Unless otherwise agreed:

·deposits are payable before work begins
·stage payments may be required for larger projects
·final payment is due upon completion of the agreed work
·invoices must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice

Late payment may result in suspension of work until payment is received.

6. Materials

Materials may be supplied by Elite London Refurbishments, the client or third-party suppliers.

Where materials are supplied by the client, we are not responsible for:

·incorrect materials
·damaged materials
·missing parts
·delays caused by late delivery
·product defects
·unsuitable products

Where we supply materials, ownership of those materials remains with Elitejobs Ltd until full payment has been received.

7. Client Responsibilities

The client must ensure that:

·access to the property is available at agreed times
·the working area is reasonably clear before work begins
·electricity, water and parking are available where required
·permissions, freeholder approvals or building approvals are obtained where necessary
·valuable or fragile items are removed from the work area
·pets and children are kept away from work areas for safety

Delays caused by lack of access or preparation may result in additional charges.

8. Site Access and Working Conditions

The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the property.

If parking permits, congestion charges, loading restrictions or access fees apply, these may be added to the final invoice unless agreed otherwise.

We reserve the right to refuse or pause work if the site is unsafe.

9. Wooden Flooring Services

For wooden flooring installation, sanding and restoration, the client accepts that wood is a natural material and may vary in colour, grain, texture and finish.

Floor sanding and restoration results depend on:

·the age and condition of the floor
·previous damage
·previous coatings or adhesives
·moisture levels
·depth of wear
·type of wood

We will always aim to achieve the best possible finish, but we cannot guarantee that all marks, stains, gaps or historic damage can be fully removed.

For engineered flooring, sanding may be limited depending on the thickness of the real wood wear layer.

10. Floor Finishes

Finishes such as lacquer, oil, stain or varnish may appear different depending on lighting, wood type and existing floor condition.

Samples may be provided where possible, but final appearance may vary once applied across the whole floor.

The client must follow aftercare instructions. Damage caused by water, heavy furniture, dragging items, incorrect cleaning products or lack of maintenance is not covered.

11. Kitchens, Bathrooms and Refurbishments

For kitchen, bathroom and refurbishment projects, the agreed scope of work will be confirmed before work begins.

Hidden defects may only become visible after strip-out, including:

·damp
·rotten timber
·damaged pipework
·unsafe electrical work
·uneven walls or floors
·structural issues
·previous poor workmanship

Any additional work required will be discussed and quoted separately.

12. Plumbing and Electrical Work

Plumbing and electrical work will be carried out to a professional standard.

Where legally required, specialist or certified trades may be used.

We are not responsible for pre-existing plumbing, electrical or structural issues unless they are included in the agreed scope of work.

13. Rubbish Removal and Site Clearance

Where rubbish removal or site clearance is included, we will remove agreed waste from the site and arrange disposal responsibly.

Pricing depends on:

·volume of waste
·type of waste
·weight
·access
·loading time
·disposal requirements

Hazardous materials, asbestos, chemicals or specialist waste are not included unless agreed in writing.

Waste must be handled in line with applicable UK waste duty of care requirements.

14. Changes to the Work

Any change requested by the client after work has started may affect:

·price
·completion date
·materials
·labour requirements

Changes must be agreed in writing before being carried out.

15. Delays

We aim to complete all work within the agreed timeframe. However, delays may occur due to:

·material delays
·supplier delays
·bad weather
·hidden defects
·client changes
·access problems
·illness or emergencies
·third-party contractors

We are not responsible for losses caused by reasonable or unavoidable delays.

16. Completion and Inspection

On completion, the client will be given an opportunity to inspect the work.

Any concerns must be raised as soon as possible, preferably in writing.

Minor snagging items will be addressed within a reasonable time.

Final payment cannot be withheld for minor snagging where the main work has been substantially completed.

17. Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of our workmanship.

Any guarantee applies only to labour carried out by us and does not cover:

·misuse
·accidental damage
·water damage
·movement in the property
·natural movement of wood
·poor ventilation
·client-supplied defective materials
·work altered by others
·normal wear and tear

Manufacturer warranties apply separately to products and materials.

18. Cancellation Rights

If the client is a consumer and the contract is agreed online, by phone, email or away from our business premises, the client may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days, unless work has already started with the client's agreement.

If the client asks us to begin work during the 14-day cancellation period, the client may be required to pay for work already completed and materials ordered before cancellation. UK guidance confirms that cancellation rights can apply to building and decorating work depending on where and how the agreement was made.

19. Cancellation by the Client

If the client cancels after accepting a quote, charges may apply for:

·materials already purchased
·labour time booked
·administration and preparation
·site visits
·work already completed

Any cancellation charge will be fair and reasonable based on actual costs incurred.

20. Cancellation by Us

We may cancel or suspend work if:

·payment is not made
·the site is unsafe
·access is not provided
·the client behaves abusively
·required permissions are not available
·unexpected issues make the work unsuitable or unsafe

21. Photos and Project Images

We may take photos of our work for records, quality control and marketing.

No personal details or private information will be shared without permission.

If the client does not want project photos used for marketing, they must inform us in writing.

22. Liability

We will take reasonable care when carrying out work.

We are not liable for:

·pre-existing defects
·hidden structural issues
·damage caused by faulty existing installations
·delays outside our control
·loss of business or indirect losses
·damage caused by client-supplied materials

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

23. Complaints

If the client is unhappy with any part of the service, they should contact us as soon as possible.

We will aim to resolve complaints fairly and professionally.

Clients should allow us reasonable access and opportunity to inspect and correct any issue.

24. Data Protection

We may collect client contact details, address, project information and communication records in order to provide quotes, manage projects and deliver services.

Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

25. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
